ZenGallery: swipe to clean your iPhone photo library

Swipe. Clean. Reclaim. One gesture per photo turns a cluttered gallery into an evening's work instead of a someday project.

What ZenGallery does

Thousands of blurry shots, duplicate screenshots and old memes are the reason your phone says it is out of storage. ZenGallery turns clearing them into a simple, repeatable habit rather than a decision you keep postponing.

One swipe per photo

Swipe left to send a photo to the bin, right to keep it. No multi-select, no long-press, no second-guessing menu.

See the storage come back

Every session shows how much space you have won back, so the work has a number attached to it.

Spaced repetition for the maybes

Photos you chose to keep resurface after a while so you can decide again with a clearer head. Photos you delete never come back.

Deletions go where you expect

Removed photos land in the Photos app's Recently Deleted album, recoverable for 30 days, exactly as if you had deleted them yourself.

Local-first, always

No uploads, no account, no sync. Every swipe, deletion and statistic happens on your device, and your keep/delete history is stored in an on-device database.

Who it is for

  • Anyone whose iPhone is permanently out of storage
  • People with thousands of screenshots and forwarded images they have never sorted
  • Anyone who wants to clear photos without handing their library to a cloud service
  • People who would rather do ten minutes a day than one impossible afternoon

Questions about ZenGallery

Where do deleted photos go?

To your Photos app's Recently Deleted album, recoverable for 30 days, exactly as if you had deleted them yourself.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. ZenGallery is local-first. Every swipe, deletion and statistic happens on your device and nothing is sent to a server.

Why does it need full photo access?

To show your library and to move the photos you swipe away into Recently Deleted. It never copies or uploads anything. If access is set to Selected Photos, the app will only see a handful of images.

Why do photos I kept come back later?

That is deliberate. Kept photos resurface after a while through spaced repetition, so a library you were unsure about gets a second, calmer look.

My storage number didn't drop. Why?

iOS only frees the space once the items leave Recently Deleted. Empty that album, or wait out the 30 days.

Is ZenGallery free?

Yes, it is free to download from the App Store.
